The Job:
We are looking for a skilled Crane Driver to safely operate a Tower Crane and assist in the construction, loading, and transportation of materials. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with Tower Cranes on large construction projects, and must prioritize safety and precision in every task.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate cranes to lift, move, and position heavy loads as directed by site supervisors.
- Ensure all lifts are performed safely and in compliance with regulations and site protocols.
- Perform pre-operational checks on cranes to ensure proper functioning.
- Collaborate with the Lifting Supervisor and rigging teams to determine the safest method for transporting materials.
- Interpret load charts and other documentation to determine safe load handling capacities.
- Communicate effectively with Crane Supervisor, Banksman and site workers to ensure smooth and safe operations.
- Inspect crane equipment and complete daily safety checklists to prevent any potential hazards alongside the Crane Supervisor.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations set by the company and local authorities.
Qualifications:
- Valid CSCS Card, Safe Pass and Manual Handling certificate essential.
- A minimum of 3 years proven experience.
- Strong understanding of rigging procedures, and safety protocols.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with a focus on precision.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
