Salter Grange is recruiting an Electrical Engineer to join a Leading Engineering Contractor on a new project in Newport.
This is an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to enter the Data Centre sector. We are open to candidates’ backgrounds but ideally, you will be exposed to large projects such as industrial, Aviation, Healthcare, Pharma or Commercial Experience.
Electrical Engineer Responsibilities:
- Preparing method statements and risk assessments with construction team for production activities.
- Prepare reports and front-end studies including capital cost estimates, project schedules, material take offs and tender schedules.
- Prepare technical and contract documentation for issue and analysing returned tenders.
- Keeping up to date the delivery schedule to control deliveries.
- Seeking to clarify queries with the Design team through request for information (RFI) system.
- Monitor progress against the program and issue progress reports.
- Producing look ahead programs to assist production.
- Carrying out Quality Control through inspections and snagging.
- Carrying out document control, recording and transmitting information.
- Liaising with multi-disciplinary teams across the project.
Electrical Engineer Requirements:
- At least two years’ experience in a similar role with an electrical contractor.
- Proven experience on Pharma or Industrial projects would be an advantage.
- Ability to work well under pressure and within strict deadlines
