MEP Design Manager
Location: Canary Wharf
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
Contract Type: Permanent
Salter Grange is currently recruiting for an experienced MEP Design Manager for a leading Tier 1 contractor renowned for delivering high-quality residential construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the MEP design process from concept to completion for a residential construction project
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop integrated design solutions
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and codes
- Manage and coordinate the work of external MEP consultants and contractors
- Conduct regular design reviews and provide technical guidance to the project team
- Oversee the preparation of detailed design drawings, specifications, and documentation
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery of design milestones
- Identify and mitigate design risks and issues
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the design team
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience in MEP design management within the residential construction sector
- Strong knowledge of building regulations, standards, and codes
- Excellent project management and organisational skills
- Ability to lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team
- Proficiency in design software and tools
