The position:
Salter Grange is seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to lead the delivery of a c.£200m, 600-unit residential development in the London Borough of Newham. This significant project features a reinforced concrete (RC) frame structure across four blocks, comprising a mix of market sale, build-to-rent, and affordable housing, with a semi-basement and high-quality brick facades.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee the construction and delivery of a large-scale residential development, ensuring it is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards
- Develop and manage the project programme, monitoring progress and implementing corrective actions where necessary
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and effective communication
- Lead and coordinate site and project teams, ensuring alignment with objectives and maintaining a collaborative working environment
- Ensure that all construction works, including RC frame, semi-basement, and brick facades, meet the required specifications and standards
- Uphold the highest health and safety standards on-site, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and company policies
- Monitor project costs, drive value engineering opportunities, and ensure financial targets are achieved
- Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring proactive resolution of any challenges
Requirements:
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale (£50m+) residential projects, including RC frame new builds with mixed tenure
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Strong understanding of reinforced concrete construction, basement structures, and brick facade finishes
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate teams and manage stakeholders effectively
