Site Manager – 5-6 Month Contract | High-End Residential | Wimbledon
We’re recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to oversee a high-spec residential build in Wimbledon, starting immediately. This is a 5–6-month temporary role with a focus on delivering two luxury semi-detached houses to the highest standard.
Ideal for a seasoned Site Manager with a background in boutique housing developments who can take ownership of a project from the ground up and deliver high-end finishes to a tight programme.
Project Overview:
- Scope: Demolition of an existing bungalow and construction of two traditional-build, timber-frame semi-detached homes
- Build Cost: £700k total , End Value: Approx. £1.5m per unit
Role Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day site management, overseeing sub-contractors and ensuring smooth site operations
- Programming and scheduling works to meet key deadlines
- Managing logistics on a tight-access site
- Ordering materials, managing purchase order numbers, and maintaining supply chain flow
- Monitoring workmanship and maintaining top-quality finishes throughout
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations and company standards
- Acting as the local point of contact for any urgent issues or site-related queries
Requirements:
- Proven experience managing small-scale, high-spec residential builds
- Strong knowledge of traditional and timber-frame construction methods
- Comfortable working in a hands-on environment and dealing with logistics challenges
- Local to Wimbledon or within easy reach (due to potential callouts)
- SMSTS certification and valid Health & Safety credentials
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
